Though out of subject , please look in to the business strategy many telecom giants implimented and succeeded in the world.

Idiotic

200 QR/connex X 100 000subscribers = 20m

Smart

100 QR/ connex X 400 000subscribers = 40m

I was searching for the total percentage of internet usage compared to the total number of people living in the state of Qatar, including expats.. Does any body have an account for this.

Is there any license required to start online business in Qatar

Is there any special sanction required from ICT Qatar to start online busines.

Pls comment and like minded people can give an email to [email protected]

We are in the middle eAst and we should respect the cultures of the peOple here. If they will alLow all sites and just let the pc owner to censor nude sites. AdVertiser of nude sites may still be able to enteR your pc and activate the pop up of this sites in your desktop.

It's better to see a pop-up of Qtel logo in your PC than a picture of a nude lady.So it's better for them to block it.

Inspite of this blocking by q-tel there are still some free way to visit those blocked sites. If you really want to visit that block sites just research for that browser. It's 90% working

easy

1. strategic planning for network capacity.if qtel can't understand then they should ask their customers(busines particurly) how much financialy it cost them for poor or non existant services. qtel should charge per k of bandwidth of use ( max cap of current package)so that qtel lose money for reduced services.

2. teach the parents how to censor their own childrens internet connection, rather than let a room full of numbnuts practice their antiquated idea of what is acceptable and what isn't e.g. education. they should charge a tax to every person in qatar for the reduction in bandwidth due to censorship e.g 100 riyals per day(business pay 1k per day). then we will see who really wants it and is prepare to pay for it.

3. send qtel manangement on overseas business courses so that they understand what it means to make the service safe and secure rather than the ostrich approach.

Where in the post does it mention anything about ict setting package prices? The thread is about a consultation on keeping internet services safe and secure!

Hi

reduce ADSl home package price. internet in qatar is too costly. 200 riyals per month is not worth the service given by qtel. it has always problems

Also, if you read the post you'll note that "ictQATAR has no legal mandate to regulate internet content", so you're asking the wrong people.
