Guys I URGENTLY need you help.. BURBERRY AID
Im an avid fan of leather goods like Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton and Burberry.. I just arrive here in Doha thru Husband sponsor Visa and planning to work on one of these boutiques (especially on Burberry because most of their staffs are Filipinos) because i feel that i'll be more productive and at the same time i'll be able to enjoy working there..
Merited with 3 years intensive sales background, im confident to apply at this particular shop. i tried leaving my CV on their shop in Villaggio about two weeks ago but no one called.. =( the saleslady told me that she will endorse my CV to their HR and expect a call afterwards.. i know that this boutique always have a frequent job opening every year (i guess almost after 3-4months).
I badly need a job that offers a good compensation package like 5500QRS plus commission to cope with the cost of living here, financial support for my parents in the Philippines and of course to buy these pricey leather from time to time.
Thanks in advance! i know a ladies out there do understand my problem.. hope you can help me, =)
they're an ICON thats why its expensive...goodluck coz good intention comes to those good people. :=)
i hope you find what you want
while strolling around The Pearl i got stuck on those beautiful bags at Balenciaga botique.. why are they so LOVELY and soooooo pricey?? =( those pretty little babies are flashing their cute smiles urging me to buy them and take them home..
hmmm one day, i'll have them one by one.. =)
i have visited The Pearl and handed my CV's there errr for Al Mana and Alfardan company.. and also got to Villaggio a while ago, too bad it's way past 6pm so i was not able to pass my CV at QL, i heard QL is the best bet for great franchise like LV, Lacoste, Geox etc.. thanks to the Lacoste salesman who told me about Qatar Luxury Company.. will be applying this Wednesday when my husband is home from work..
REALLY CROSSING MY FINGERS get a slot there.. because Villaggio mall is just 10 mins away from my place.. =)
as i know, the Almana are hiring some salesladies under husband sponsorship, try to go to Landmark as most of the stores there are under their ownership. :=)
Khanan you naughty boy she is Married!..

rubypavino's suggestion is a good one. better to apply direct to Main Office than to outlets. But it's also worth to try with the outlets, we never know.
Also, what I have learned here in Qatar is that, there are no such thing as New Comer, with the kind of rule/law being followed here. Once you got the job you are most likely to be stuck in it, else, you have to wait for 2 years or go to other country. But off course, you have the advantage as I have said earlier and also for the few who managed to get NOC.
why dont u try to apply in one of ALMANA GROUP of FASHION CO. like Debenhams,Miss Sixty,The One,Jennifer,Pull and Bear,Follie Follie etc...
its worth a try... :0)
unfortunately for me, i just arrive here few months ago and perhaps too young (im just 22) to think of a bigger job role for now. of course being a new comer, i really have to start on that position even i had higher job position on my previous jobs. sales jobs offers a better package than of other front liner jobs that i can possibly apply.. =)
Don't window cleaners start at the top, and work their way down? Otherwise wouldn't the dirty water drip all over the clean glass below?
:P
If you need a job thay pays you this figure, you need to think beyond saleslady post.
all the best, but be prepared for the worst, and dont be surprised if nobody calls you, you have to chase after them.
lol TB..:) Reminds me of the Movie Confession of the Window Cleaner!
That's how window cleaners do it fubar
Try for a job in H&M and work your way up the ladder.
Troll me thinks hehehehehe
yurihime,
As you such a good sales lady as you claim. I have recently bought a LV bag from LV in KL. The Mrs does'nt like it is genuine with receipt and box. If you can sell it for me I will give to 10% commission!
@UkEngQatar
im not saying that it is a qualification but it makes me more comfortable. who wouldn't be comfortable and esteemed if they got the chance to work their own race.. =)
hmmm i hope they'll call me. salary expectations are negotiable so why not place it on a higher figure because it is where bargaining starts.. =)(crossed fingers) well if i can't have that figures on that job, as long as it is not that quite low i'll take it.. part time jobs are just around the corner to add some bucks for a living. the problem is that i dont know whether my CV really reach the desk of HR or not.. been researching on what company holds its franchise, unfortunately Jashanmal company is located in UAE.. =( will follow up my CV when i got a chance this week. i hope i'll get a good news by then.. =)
@Bondying
thanks for the advice =) i agree with you.. they always advise me to be very picky with these employers..
my husband will never allow me to transfer my visa to any prospect employer to avoid future problems with my stay here.. hehehehe.. some of the companies here offers a very low salary and take advantage of the visa holders like mine.. hay.. i really hope to find that employer who have that fair compensation package.. and i hope it would be soon because we are really running out of cash.. =)

Wake up and smell the coffee beans my dear
Most of them are Filipinos! Are you not a Filipina?
Don't expect too much or you will end up disappointed. However, you have the advantage because you are under Husband Sponsorship. You have the all the time here, no rush, to look for a job and choose.
Just an advice, be smart when looking for and/or accepting job offers. As much as possible, keep the Husband Sponsor if the company will not provide family status.

QAR 5500? I even know a Swedish lady who resigned recently in Burberry Villagio and didnt have that salary.
Because most of their staff are Filipinos. Do you think that is a Qualification?
Welll Said iRuby..:)
i think you are dreaming bout your expectation regarding the salary plus commission if you will work as a saleslady even you are locally hired...hope they will call you or you can follow up your application... goodluck! :0)
