Any new info on any companies working explosive detection K9's in Qatar or UAE?

Our opinions are sounding very similar. I have had lots of contact with the police K9 section here! Unfortunately they are palmed off with dogs that they are told are "the best", they also take in dogs from locals who no longer want them or can't handle them!

Have you made an approach to any of the companies you mention above? Alot of the higher management are expats and would know exactly where you are coming from.

Have you contacted the american handlers here at the base? They would have some good input on local reaction and needs wouldn't they? They have their own dog section here in Qatar.

Yeah I have a few contacts in the UK. But to even consider anything there, since im not a UK res, its a tad bit harder for me to get one of those new cards. Hell I forget what they're called. But like I said I have a couple contacts with Top Dog Security and a couple others.

I was leaning to offering services to govt owned companies out here like QP, RAS GAS, Ritz Carlton, and so on. I know Dubai has recently opened an EDD company and I have no clue as to why this country, especially with the asian games coming, hasnt contracted a company yet.

Like I said in previous posts I do know a coupe of the Qatari Trainers here, but my pesronal opinion will be better off kept to myself. I know where they got their "BEST DOGS" and i know for a fact the they are NOT that particular agencies "BEST DOGS." I think I'll leave that one up for others to form their own opinions.

Im pretty good friends with the Qatari K9 guys, but there's no input from them about what companies need here. Trust me there is room for K9 here ,and plenty of opportunity for growth. Guess im just gonna have to meet the right people. I strongly disagree with agressive response dogs, even with patrol work.

No, I mean companies that require additional security from my K9 company.

The K9 section of the police force have explo, drug detection, passive/aggressive, crowd control K9's etc....but they are rarely seen out working. The only place I have actively seen them are at the airport.

There are no 'private' K9 companies here, Group 4 Security is big here, perhaps one way to gauge the market would be to contact them.

Worked with Security dogs in the UK so this area interests me. Have contact details for UK K9 companies working in the Middle East but none here in Qatar.
