jzp1984116, look after yourself and stay safe while doing part time job.
I can teach Mandarin, and also some widely used dialects in China if you want.
About the rates, the more students, the cheaper prices!
I will decide after I come to QL.
I'm single
Does QL have opening for translators? Just a doubt reading the post.

Are u single or married?
Hello,
Ragnarock Raid your thought is sharp. And new-in-town is correct, Chinese is a language (unified writing and reading system) while Cantonese is a dialect (speak and listen only). Another example of dialect in China is Shanghaiese, which is widely spoken in China's commercial capital of Shanghai.
If you would like to know what you/your children want/benefit most from learning Chinese, the following are few hints:
Mandarin - Official spoken language (taught) in China. If you can speak Mandarin, you will have no problem travelling & business across the country as you can communicate with 1.2+ billion people there.
Cantonese - Widely spoken in Hong Kong and nearby Guangdong province, which is a famous 'world's factory'. Much less 'useful' outside these regions.
Shanghaiese - More and more people are learning it as a way to build up relationship with Shanghaiese businessmen.
A side note, expat often find it easier to learn Mandarin since its pronounication system is more similar.
Happy learning!

Hi Gigi,
I have 2 kids who would like to learn mandarin.
Have you been teaching kids before ?
The join the mandarin class in our home country as additional languange.
They are 6 years and 5 years old.
Can you let me know your fee ?
Kind regards,
Chinese is a launguage as far as I know (may be not to a linguist), however it is also considered as a lauguage family as there divides into a few dialect groups.
I am from Hong Kong, I speak Cantonese, a dialect, Cantonese is the third lagest in population size. There may be many spoken varieties, we only have one common written system. Chinese people share the very same cultural identity.
can i know how much period it requires for an average person to learn chinese. and how much is uer fee. kindly rep.
But you might have better luck if you can be a little more specific.
I'm no expert, but i'm pretty sure there is no such language as Chinese...are you teaching Mandarin or Cantonese?
Anyways, welcome to Qatar and best of luck to you!
Stay safe all.
Perfection does not exist. The question therefore, is: what level of imperfection are we willing to settle for?
