Watch out for strong winds, high seas today
Qatar’s Department of Meteorology, in its daily report, said the weather inshore will be hazy at first, and then will become relatively cold in the day time, until 6pm. There will be some cloud cover and the temperature will become cold to very cold by night.
The department, in a post on X, said “Sudanthile station recorded the lowest temperature for this morning, which was 9°C while the capital Doha recorded 15 °C.”
In its report, the department added that offshore, the weather will be partly cloudy with a chance of scattered rain at times. It also warned of strong winds and high seas.
Wind inshore will be northwesterly, at a speed of eight to 18 knots, gusting to 25 knots at places in the daytime. Offshore, it will be northwesterly, between 10 to 20 knots, gusting to 25 knots at times.
Sea state inshore will be two to four feet, rising to five feet at places at times, while offshore will be three to six feet, rising to eight feet at times.
Visibility inshore will be four to 10 kilometers, while offshore, it will be five to 10km.
