Qatar's Prime Minister calls for dialogue to end Syrian crisis
Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani received a phone call from Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Dr Badr Abdel Aati on Friday.
The leaders discussed improving cooperation and relations between the two countries and means to support and develop them, in addition to the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and occupied Palestinian territories, the latest developments in Syria, and a host of topics of common interest.
HE Sheikh Mohammed said Qatar was following with great concern recent developments in Syria, and stressed the need to spare civilians any consequences of this conflict.
He reiterated Qatar’s clear position calling on all parties to dialogue and reach an understanding to end the Syrian crisis in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and Security Council Resolution 2245.
The crisis resolution has to be in such a way that it achieves the aspirations of the Syrian people and preserve the unity, sovereignty and independence of their country.
