Qatar’s Amal Muhammad clinches gold in Asian Airgun Championships
In another proud achievement for the nation, Qatar’s Amal Muhammad claimed the gold medal in the rifle competitions for moving targets (slow-fast) in the 14th Asian Airgun Championship, currently underway in Kazakhstan.
The championship witnesses the participation of over 150 male and female shooters from different countries including, Qatar, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Russia, India, Iran and Turkmenistan. The competition categories comprise rifle, air pistol, and moving targets.
Aisha Al Suwaidi, Shahd Al Darwish, and Amal Muhammed are representing Team Qatar at the international event.

Secretary General of the Qatar Shooting and Archery Association, Majid Ahmed M Al Naimi highlighted that the achievements at the shooting level are a result of united efforts. He expressed his delight at Amal’s spectacular win.
“We hope that the rest of the Team Qatar female shooters participating in the 10m air rifle competition will win in the championship and take the podiums,” he added.
The Head of the National Shooting Teams Committee Ali Saeed Al Mannai lauded the efforts of the female shooters participating in the international shooting championship, which serves as a platform to refine their talents.
