Qatar has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ bombing of the Dar Al Arqam School, sheltering displaced people in Gaza, as well as destruction of a warehouse belonging to the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage in the Moraj area east of Rafah in the Gaza Strip, considering both acts a blatant violation of international humanitarian law.

A total of 86 people were martyred and 287 injured on Thursday due to Israeli bombardment across various areas of the Gaza Strip.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 50,609 martyrs, the majority of whom are women and children.

The number of injuries has also increased to 115,063. The ministry added that the toll from the renewed Israeli aggression on the Strip since March 18 has reached 1,249 martyrs and 3,022 injuries.

In a statement, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the urgent need for the international community to act to hold Israel accountable for its repeated crimes against civilians and civilian infrastructure and to compel it to comply with international laws.

The Ministry reaffirmed Qatar’s firm and unwavering position in support of the Palestinian cause and the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, based on international legitimacy and the two-state solution, in a way that ensures the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
