Qatar Charity sends 16 trucks of aid for Gaza’s displaced families
Qatar Charity (QC) announced that it was urgently intervening to support displaced and affected families in the Gaza Strip.
The programme, which forms a part of Qatar’s ongoing aid efforts, will provide food and medical assistance to the most vulnerable families in the Strip.
QC said it distributed more than 2,300 food baskets — containing vegetables and fruits — to displaced individuals within Gaza, in a step aimed at alleviating hardship faced by residents amid food insecurity.
Additionally, 16 aid trucks carrying essential supplies have been dispatched to support displaced families and ensure the continuous flow of aid into the Strip.
Meanwhile, QC emphasized that its ‘Labbeh Gaza’ campaign will continue to provide support in line with the increasing needs on the ground. It called on benevolent individuals in Qatar and beyond to continue supporting relief efforts through donations.
The organization said these efforts highlighted its ongoing commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and stem from its humanitarian responsibility toward the people of Gaza.
It also pointed out that in addition to immediate relief efforts, it had developed a comprehensive plan for humanitarian and development programs in Gaza.
This plan was discussed during the 9th Effective Partnership Conference for Better Humanitarian Relief in Kuwait with the goal of mobilizing resources for effective response and reconstruction.
The total cost of these projects is estimated at approximately $120m and includes life-saving interventions, shelter, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment.
