Woqod to open more petrol stations
Woqod will be opening four more petrol stations in Qatar this year, according to a report on Gulf Times.
The four petrol stations are currently under construction in key areas like Al Wajba, Al Jumailieh, Al Thakheera and Al Wakrah.
Woqod CEO, Ibrahim Jaham al-Kuwari said that the company is currently involved in the implementation of more than 35 projects, 14 of which are progressing while the others are in the design, tendering and approval stages.
Five expansion projects for existing petrol stations are currently taking place at Al Thayen, Industrial Area, Al Hilal, Muaither, and Bu-Fasila. The completion of those projects is expected by the end of 2014.
Two vehicle inspection centres (Fahes) will also be inaugurated at Al Mamoura and Wadi Al-Banat, which will address the long queues at
The Al Mamoura project is already completed and waiting for approval from the Traffic Department.
