Unstable weather to affect the country next week
There are chances of rain in the country next week, the Met department has said.
Today, poor visibility is expected in some places in the early hours due to fog, according to the weather report.
Gulf Times reports that the department, through posts on its social media platforms, said a “weather system is expected to affect Qatar from Saturday evening (March 5) until Sunday evening (March 6)”.
Gradually, it will become partly cloudy to cloudy and there is a chance of scattered rain, which may be accompanied by thunder, in some places at times.
Easterly-southeasterly moderate winds will blow, which may freshen at times, the report notes.
Weather charts also indicate the possibility of another spell of rain on next Tuesday night (March 8) and Wednesday.
Meanwhile, today’s forecast for inshore areas says it will be misty to foggy in some places at first, followed by moderate temperature with some clouds. Visibility may drop to 1km or less in the early hours.
Offshore areas will see partly cloudy and hazy to misty conditions during the day.
The minimum and maximum temperatures today are expected to be 12C and 28C, respectively, with the forecast for Doha being 17C and 25C.
The Met department has advised people to follow latest weather updates through its official website, smart phone applications and various social media accounts.
