A traffic diversion for nearly 18 months will be in place on a section of Mesaieed road between Al Wakra and Mesaieed.
The diversion, starting on Friday (January 15), is required to allow for the construction of a new interchange as part of the construction of Al Wakra bypass road project.
During the period, two lanes in the direction from Mesaieed to Doha will be closed on part of the existing road.
The 800m closure will start after the local access to the family beach in Al Wakra Municipality.
The traffic will be diverted to a diversion constructed with the same number of lanes. The speed limit will also be lowered from 80kmh to 50kmn throughout the diversion, to ensure the safety of motorists and project workers. [Gulf Times]
Apart from the existing diversions, This will be the next new traffic diversion.
sorry to say this but this news is pretty old and incorrect. as we all know on DEC-24-2015 the New Port Project has started functioning. If I am not wrong the traffic diversion has started somewhat in Oct-2015.
I have always read and heard news and traffic updates from internet and radio regarding Doha only why arent there anyone updating the same for Al-Wakra or Messaid, Dukhan, Al-Khor and other regions.
