Three expats sentenced to prison for attempted burglary of donation box
The Court of Appeal has reviewed a case of three expatriate men convicted by a lower court for attempting to steal the donation box of the Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs.
Local Arabic daily Arrayah reported yesterday that the Criminal Court had sentenced the defendants to five years in jail followed by deportation.
The charges against the defendants included attempted burglary of the charity society, crashing into a traffic patrol vehicle and damaging it, and posing hazard to the life of other people.
The case papers indicated that the three persons broke into the headquarters of the Society and carried the donation box outside to their vehicle.
Though they fled, a few minutes later a police patrol vehicle asked them to stop. But, the driver of the vehicle sped away and drove his car to the opposite side of the road hitting another police vehicle.
They were arrested by the police patrol. During the investigations, the trio admitted committing the crimes listed against them. [Gulf Times]

Stealing from the poor, evading capture and ramming cop cars... Can't see the review being any different. The judge might well double the sentence, seeing as they had the cheek to appeal...
How many years or how many months or how many days prison
They deserve the verdict for stupidity alone!
& never drive on the opposite side of the road.
Never hit authorities' vehicles .............
So what's the result of the review ?
