There are increased chances of rain in and around Qatar on Saturday, says Met Dept

Qatar’s Met Department has forecast strong winds and high seas in the country today, saying the chances of rain will improve significantly by Saturday.

Several parts of the country experienced scattered rain yesterday, according to Gulf Times.

Partly cloudy skies are likely in the country on Saturday and there is a possibility of more scattered rain, which may be thundery at times, in most inshore and offshore areas. This will be particularly true during the evening.

Meanwhile, today’s forecast says the wind speed may go up to 25 knots in some offshore areas at times, with the sea level rising to 7ft. Slight dust and some clouds are also likely.

Inshore, it will be relatively hot. Slightly dusty conditions are expected in some places along with scattered clouds.

The temperature in Doha is expected to range from 28C to 37C today.
