Temporary Closure of Jaidah Flyover
As part of the upgrade works of the existing infrastructure, the Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ has announced a temporary partial closure of the Jaidah Flyover located in the Mushaireb area.
The closure will be implemented in two phases in order to complete upgrade and maintenance works on the flyover, while keeping smooth traffic flow in the area.
The first phase of works will include the closure of only the East bound lane of the flyover going towards Mushaireb area.
The closure will take place starting Wednesday 29 January and will last for two weeks.
Traffic coming from Jabur Bin Ahmed Intersection (Ramada Signal) and Salwa Road will use the ground level through Mushaireb Interchange located below the flyover as per the map above.
As part of the second phase, the East bound lane going towards the Mushaireb area will be open and the West bound lane of the Jaidah Flyover going towards Jabur Bin Ahmed Intersection (Ramada Signal) and the Industrial Area will be closed for two weeks starting February 15.
Traffic heading to Salwa Road and the Industrial Area will also be diverted to use the ground level through Mushaireb Interchange below the flyover.
The scope of maintenance works will include replacing the asphalt layer over the flyover as well as improving the structure to accommodate the increased demand of travelers in the area.
The works will result in improved roads and streamlined traffic movement in the area.
All necessary road signs have been installed in the area to provide clear directions for commuters.
‘Ashghal’ has urged all road users to respect traffic rules and regulations for their safety and the safety of others.
