Strong winds expected on Saturday and Sunday
Residents in Qatar are likely to face windy days on Saturday and Sunday, reported The Peninsula.
Due to the extension of Indian monsoon seasonal low over the region, fresh to strong northwesterly winds is expected to affect most areas of the country during daytime on Saturday and Sunday, said Qatar Meteorology Department.
The wind speed will range between 15-25 KT gusting 35 knots sometimes over some areas causing blowing dust and a visibility reduction to 3km or less in some areas at times. Wave heights are expected to rise ranging between 6-9 feet.
The Department has urged all residents to be cautious and to avoid venturing into sea during periods of strong winds as well as to follow latest updates through our different official social media accounts.
