Residents welcome relocation of livestock market
The Ministry of Urban Planning has a comprehensive plan to upgrade the Central Market in Abu Hamour which includes relocation of the livestock market to outer area, according to a report on The Peninsula.
The statement came after Al Sharq reported that residents of Abu Hamour had complained about foul smell due to the livestock market.
Residents welcomed the decision and demanded that the plan should be implemented soon.
They said relocation of the livestock market will help protect their health. The unpleasant odour was the main cause of discomfort for them, especially children, they said.
