New system for recruitment of workers to come into effect soon
After the cancellation of the permanent committee for recruitment, the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs (MADLSA) has started to receive recruitment requests through its electronic system to make it easy for companies as well as employers, reported Gulf Times.
MADLSA and the Ministry of the Interior (MoI) will jointly maintain the database. One of the basic requirements for getting a new work visa is a signed contract between employee and the employer, mentioning the obligations of the applicant company according to the labour law.
After MADLSA reviews the requests and give its opinion, they will be transferred to the MoI for necessary procedures. The employers can follow up the status of their requests through the electronic system.
