New premises for Passports and Expatriate Affairs Department to be built
The Ministry of Interior has signed an agreement with CEG International, a leading consulting firm, for designing and supervising construction of new premises for its Passports and Expatriate Affairs Department currently in Al Gharafa.
The new premises will be built in Al Noaim in the north, at an estimated cost of QR400m, the ministry said yesterday.
The building will house various departments under the General Directorate of Borders Passports and Expatriates Affairs.
Major sections will include the Expatriates Affairs Department, Borders Passports Department, Search and Follow- up Department and Airport Passports Department.
There will be a separate building for the Nationality and Travel Documents Department.
Construction will be completed by the end of 2016.
