Motorists complain about quality of mobile car wash
Some motorists have expressed concern over the quality of services provided by "mobile" car wash attendants stationed in the parking lots of malls and hypermarkets.
Vehicles washed by such attendants are often found with scratches at various places, including on the windshield, windows and sometimes the body paint, it is learnt.
As dust storms are expected to continue over the next few days, "mobile" car wash attendants are anticipating brisk business due to an increase in customers who seek to avoid long queues at car wash facilities at petrol stations as well as standalone centres.
But some motorists have complained that despite the convenience, services of attendants working in the parking lots of malls and hypermarkets come with several risks.
"Rinsing the car with a high-pressure spray removes dust and grime thoroughly and prevents dirt from clinging onto the towel. Otherwise, the towel will leave scratches on the body, windshield and other parts of the vehicle," a vehicle owner said.
He added, "Motorists who opt for the waterless car wash service expose their vehicles to such risks when the layer of dust and dirt is thick, especially if their cars have not been washed for several days."
Another risk, according to the owner, is the use of "special chemicals" or industrial grade detergent, which could leave hard-to-remove stains or, in some cases, lead to permanent discolouration of the car's body paint.
Another motorist argued that even if parking lot car wash attendants use water, the dirt is mixed with the towel when it is dipped into the washing bucket.
"Car wash services inside parking lots are very cheap at QR10 to QR15 per car compared to the standard rates charged by petrol stations. However, these attendants only use one bucket of water when cleaning a car," he said. [Read more on Gulf Times]
I refuse to confirm or deny that on a family site
Do u wash it wearing a pink thong also?
They're going to stop renewing permits for pink cars next year..
Only the best for my Pink Kia .. I wash it myself
Oh come on..why are they surprised? Its clear to see they offer a waterless wash..they don't use water at all and only 3-4 different types of organic wash solutions..I've personally chatted to the cleaners and seen their equipment...the technology is pretty safe on its own..but combined with overly dirty cars which shouldn't even be washed without water and overworked workers - it results in more harm than good..when in fact the microfiber cloths and specific mild ingredients they use, should be most gentle on the car and give great results..i personally feel that the shine from their protective products is much more lustrous than the soap and water from woqod or teyseer..people have asked me if i got my car resprayed when they saw it after a good waterless wash..
It's best to wash your car with your own hands.
Dont compare with express service and long queue services.
You will definitely find differences with 10qr washing & 30qr wash services.
If you have enough time, go for best service only.
I personally feel, express services were always best to me.

@Hiraiken, Woqood for car wash. Not bad. Jack wash is the way to go. It loosens dirt off the bottom of the car.Points to consider:
1. Parking lot car washes are not bad provided the car is not full of dust.
2. Scratches on the car? Can't be that pedantic! Your hard bristles at auto carwash leaves scratches.
3. The wipedown after any woqood car wash leaves scratches from residual dust on wipes they use or even the dust from desert air that cling on like magnet on a wet car till you get to the wipedown session.
The point is, if those micro scratches are getting under your skin, give your car a wax polish.
Sorry but I don't have 3 hours to waste going to woqood, I avoid that place like the plague.
Those 10 real washes do more harm then good, you pay them 10 ryals to scratch your car.
I mean ..
"I still prefer and always bring my car to Woqod for car wash."
I still prefer and always bring my to Woqod for car wash.
The problem is that they don't have enough water - The sand / dust paticles when rubbed damage the paint.
Penny wise pound foolish!
