Heavy rainfall and floods in Qatar
Doha is literally under water. Almost all parts of the country are experiencing heavy downpour combined with lightning and thunder.
When the residents of Qatar woke up today, little did they know that most of them would be stuck in traffic or caught in the middle of a flooded road or even worse, not being able to get to their car due to the sheets of rain and floods.
Many schools and universities including Doha College- Al-Waab and West Bay, Doha English Speaking School etc. have been closed down due to rain, reports Doha News.
Many residents have been stuck in a very slow moving traffic. The Ministry of Interior has even tweeted in its official Twitter account warning all residents to drive with caution and safety. It has further advised all residents to reduce speed and to keep a space between vehicles.
Be cautious while driving in rainy condition..Reduce your speed and keep more space between vehicles. #MoI_Qatar
