Hajj packages in Qatar to cost QAR28,500 including airfare

Hajj tour packages offered by authorised Qatari tour and travel operators are costing on average QR23,000 ($6,316) per person this year.

If air tickets are included, the costs can go up to QR28,500. Operators aren't conducting many trips by road this year as there aren't enough pilgrims going for Hajj.

Without air tickets, the package includes the cost of accommodation, food and transport. With every group going with an operator, there will be a doctor and paramedics.

"We are ready to provide all necessary services for Hajj tour," said an operator, Hatim Mansoor Al Mansoori. "Hotels are booked and so are flights for people going with us," he told local Arabic daily Al Watan.

According to Al Mansoori, depending on companies and their services, package rates are on average up to QR23,000.

Another operator, Mohamed Mubarak Al Nabit, said if air tickets are included, the package can cost up to QR28,500 per person.

Groups will begin visiting Saudi Arabia for Hajj from next month. [The Peninsula]

Saudi says Umrah visa is free. But if you go to embassy they will say you have to take from agency.

Saudi charge fees from agency and agence charge fees from us. Someone tell me then how is the Umrah visa free. We need changes.
