Get ready to have a rollicking time in Qatar during Eid holidays!

The Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) has announced the line-up of activities for the Eid Al-Fitr 2016 Festival, which takes place over five days, beginning on the first day of Eid, reported The Peninsula.

The festival will offer entertainment activities and shows at venues across Qatar, including at sports facilities, malls, cultural landmarks and Qatar National Theatre.

Visitors to Qatar’s malls will be able to enjoy shows such as Alice in Wonderland (City Centre), Sleeping Beauty (Dar Al Salam), The Little Mermaid (Ezdan Mall), Snow White (Lagoona Mall), IftahYaSimsim (Hyatt Plaza) and Kid's Circus Show (Al Khor Mall).

The Festival will also feature parades around Qatar’s participating shopping malls between 5pm and 10pm, including Drummers Parade, Fritters, Hungry Chefs, Walkabout Birds, Koka Stilt Walkers and Live Statue.

Other shows will rotate between malls through Eid. They include Doctor Bubble, Equilibrium on the Reels, Comedy Show, Tanoura Performance, Ardha Traditional Dance, Oriental Dabke and Kids Magician.

QTA sponsored theatrical performance “Tar Al Wazir”, an Arabic comedy about social issues in Qatar and the GCC, featuring stars Abdulaziz Jassim, Abdul Nasser Darwish and Huda Sultan will be organised between 6.30 and 9.30pm at Qatar National Theatre. Tickets are priced from QR50 to QR500.

Children’s play “The Hunter and the Pirates” will be staged at Al Rayyan Theatre in Souq Waqif between 4.30 and 6.30pm, with ticket prices ranging from QR30 to QR300.

QTA’s partners will be putting up a variety of shows including live entertainment at Katara Cultural Village starting from 6.30pm and culminating in a firework spectacle at 9.30pm.

Tourism hotspots around the country will be celebrating Eid with visitors: Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani Museum will offer free tours while horse riding sessions will be available at the Al Samariyah Equestrian Centre.

A variety of entertainment options will be available at Aqua Park, Al Dosari Zoo and Game Reserve, the Pearl-Qatar and Aspire Zone Foundation. The Qatar Air Sports Committee will offer Aerial Paragliding Tours at Sealine Beach.
