Emiri Diwan announces a holiday for celebrating National Sports Day

Qatar has always been in the forefront when it comes to encouraging its people to take up sports and lead an active lifestyle.

Over the years, Qatar’s National Sports Day, which is celebrated on the second Tuesday of every February, has been growing in scope and importance.

Keeping up with the mood, the Emiri Diwan on Sunday declared February 14, Tuesday, as an official national holiday.

Several national and private companies, sports federations and teams, in addition to shopping malls and other organisations, have put together a vibrant mix of events to celebrate the occasion.
