Qatar’s public sector companies and schools will open on the same day, September 18, after Eid holidays and annual holidays respectively.

A new information note, issued by the Emiri Diwan, has said that public sector companies will take five working days off for Eid. The celebration proper takes place on September 12.

The Qatar News Agency reported that government offices will remain shut starting September 11, Sunday, until September 15, Thursday.

They will thus have a total of nine days as holidays (including weekends on either side of the actual holidays). They are expected to return to work on September 18.

Meanwhile, the Qatar Central Bank (QCB) governor will set the holiday dates for employees banks, QCB-supervised financial institutions and Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA).
