An Arab man has been accused of killing his wife after a heated argument between them at their residence.

It was reported yesterday by the local Arabic daily Arrayah that police investigations and medical reports have confirmed that the victim had died due to repeated assaults by electric wires and cables.

Also, reports further reveal that the victim had suffered beatings from a hard object along with first degree burns as a result of boiling water being poured over her.

While a Doha Criminal Court investigates the matter further and has adjourned to hear from more witnesses, Gulf Times says that “The accused husband admitted having attacked his wife after a hot dispute between them at home”.

However, when the victim had fallen to the ground unconscious, the accused had called the ambulance services.

According to a statement given by the paramedics, the woman had been dead by the time they arrived.

It's the responsibility of both husband and wife to keep away from heated arguments. One cannot predict who will be more aggressive, self destructive, etc. There is a way to handle such disputes and steps should be followed. Anyway, a wife should be soft & if she is aggressive, then it's mostly will end up in divorce to an accident that can take one's life.

As for Khan , is he telling us that it is acceptable to beat your wife harshly ?

By britexpat• 24 Mar 2016 16:37

It is irrelevant that he called the ambulance .. The fact is that he beat her till she could take no more .. It should be treated as murder and he should hang if found guilty

During my college days, Our prefect of Games, Father Rev Gregory use to guide us saying, He needs a hockey match with total discipline, and would be happy to have lost rather winning with a dispute.

Accordingly, I as a captain lost many matches we played, during the college days. He never looked sad, or unsatisfied in any occasion, as he always looked towards the discipline alone. (He use to shout from the line saying “Don’t Obstruct”)

This education, led me to a much greater height in my life. I use to lose a lot of communication on a daily basis in the work place, subsequently it becomes true and the person comes with a smile to me on a later stage. I believe losing and being second will give higher height’s in anybody’s life if he really know’ s what is being second and the secret of losing.

If you know how to lose to your family, you will surprise to get the reward end of the day.

This is my personal opinion and not directed to any individual, group, region or community. I may wish everyone a great week end. If possible by giving the wife a possible surprise gift this evening.

Khan: There, that's the correct thing to say... The Islamic ruling on anger is what you should have posted first, instead of all that earlier drivel... That religious viewpoint makes it clear as to all that is wrong with this man who killed his wife...

KHAN.

I doubt whether mohdata and Wild Turkey are getting angry at me: :)

KHAN.

Anger is a part of human nature, and people vary in their anger. It may be difficult for a man not to get angry. But remember Shaytaan (Satan) will take advantage of the situation, which leads to so many evils and tragedies, as this example. Let us all learn a lesson from this tragedy.

Remembering what Allaah has promised to the righteous (muttaqeen) who keep away from the causes of anger and struggle within themselves to control it, is one of the most effective ways of extinguishing the flames of anger. One of the ahaadeeth that describe the great reward for doing this is: "Whoever controls his anger at the time when he has the means to act upon it, Allaah will fill his heart with contentment on the Day of Resurrection." (Reported by al-Tabaraani, 12/453, see also Saheeh al-Jaami’, 6518)..

Here are some tips to stop anger:

(1) Keeping silent:

The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "If any of you becomes angry, let him keep silent." (Reported by Imaam Ahmad, al-Musnad, 1/329; see also Saheeh al-Jaami’, 693, 4027).

This is because in most cases, the angry person loses self control and the Satan takes care of the situation to destroy his life.

(2) Not moving:

The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "If any of you becomes angry and he is standing, let him sit down, so his anger will go away; if it does not go away, let him lie down." ( Musnad Ahmad, 5/152; see also Saheeh al-Jaami’, no. 694).

(3) Thinking about himself during moments of anger:

If the angry person could see himself in the mirror when he is angry, he would hate himself and the way he looks. If he could see the way he changes, and the way his body and limbs shake, how his eyes glare and how out of control and crazy his behaviour is, he would despise himself and be revolted by his own appearance. It is well-known that inner ugliness is even worse than outer ugliness; how happy the Shaytaan must be when a person is in this state!

But, maybe - he was repairing some electrical fixtures in the house, and - maybe he wanted to boil some eggs for Eastern?

Khan: Dude pls go find something else to read... You're annoying the hell out of me... Let me whip you with some electric cable and see how you like it... Do you even mean it when you say ' be good to your wife' or is it just going thru the motions?

By Wild Turkey• 24 Mar 2016 14:26
Wild Turkey

Exactly, the "assortment" of "tools" speaks for his "intentions".

By mohdata• 24 Mar 2016 14:23
mohdata

Khan: Electric cables, repeated beatings, boiling water, first degree burns... What is wrong with you? Even if he didn't mean for her to die, his treatment of her is worse than that of animals.. In a way its good she died and is free of this cruel world...

By KHAN.• 24 Mar 2016 14:21
KHAN.

And it is media report, nowadays they exxagerate anything for attention. For example : The statement " repeated assaults by electric wires and cables." makes somebody think he passed electricity to the wife. But the fact may be that he beat his wife with wire.

Please be good to your wife and wife better obey husband and donot get into arguments. A man's brain gets heated very fast and a women is always interested in arguments. If a wife needs to argue , make sure you calculate the brain temperature of husband's brain and If it is in a state that the head gasket can break, then better shut up.

I saw an elderly couple at the traffic lights just yesterday... The husband was just screaming like a maniac at his wife and just that sad plaintive look on her innocent face made my eyes tear up...i pray god gives my mom a long life with me, gives me a loving wife and daughters for kids and that I can make the women in my life among the happiest women on earth..

So, what will be his punishment? QAR 200,000 "blood money" and a life in freedom or are they going to boil him, too?
