Child found dead in car and air rescue called in for drowning man
While the rest of the nation was busy celebrating Eid, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has been busy saving lives.
The day after Eid Al-Adha, the Air Ambulance service of HMC rescued a drowning individual at Sea Line towards the south of the country.
The person was immediately taken to HMC where he was treated and discharged.
The Air Ambulance Service has been receiving approximately around 322 telephone calls out of which most of them were cases of drowning, said Hatim Al-Aaji, Supervisor, Ambulance Service.
Another incident that had shook the nation over the days of Eid was the body of an 8 year old child that was found dead in a car in the suburbs of Muaither, Doha.
Many presume that it could have been the boy with special needs who had gone missing on the first day of Eid. Al-Sharq reports that the boy had been visiting relatives with his friends. He had returned home and gone out again.
Al-Aaji has further added that three people had been injured in a road accident and one individual at home for which the help of Air Ambulance was needed.
This Eid which would have been a delightful one for many, has been a fatal one for some.

Hats off to the rescue services. Tragic about the young child. May the child rest in peace and may the parents find the strength to bear their loss.
