Hygiene and safety is an important aspect for Qatar. In many a case we have seen eateries, restaurants, famous coffee shops etc. being shut down for violating the health standards set by the State.

Recently, Baladiya tweeted in its official Twitter platform that the municipality of Doha has shut down a restaurant in Kulaib for preparing food in unhealthy, unhygienic conditions.

The tweet further explained that the closure will be in effect for 20 days.

Although, the name of the restaurant was not revealed in the tweet, Baladiya has been conducting very vigilant investigations into such similar cases.

It has also been revealed in the website of Baladiya that the year 2015 saw a total number of 26,055 inspections out of which 161 outlets have been found to be violating ministry rules.
