Asian man jailed for flirting with air hostess aboard plane
An Asian man has been sentenced to six months in prison and fined QR20,000 for flirting with and harassing an air hostess aboard a plane.
The Criminal Court in Doha sentenced the convict to 40 lashes for drinking alcohol in a public place. He will also be deported on serving his prison term.
The convict, who was travelling on a flight to Qatar, held the air hostess’ hand and started flirting with her and asked for her personal phone number, reported local Arabic daily Al Raya.
The court found him guilty of making chaos aboard the plane, harassing the airhostess and forcing upon her even when she disapproved his indecent behavior.

Mufti: Well said.. Be responsible for your actions
There is nothing wrong in serving drinks. One should learn to be a responsible drinker.
Ah yes, Chin Tu Fat mentioned it .. Chilled Coconut water with a sprig of mint, served in the shell , sitting on a banana leaf .............Heaven!
britey, I have changed my taste...instead of champagne I opted Coconut Water which gives me wings.......:)
This is why Rizks always flies business class to God's Own Country - so he can get champagne as soon as he seats himself ..
Alcohol is no doubt the root cause of all such problems. But then it is also an attracting factor for many airlines to get business especially for the outbound airlines from Doha. I am told that the first thing many passengers demand as soon as the plane crosses Qatar airspace, is wine. Many passengers are really thirsty after being here for so many months without a drink. The dress of the air hostess was not the cause. She was modestly dressed. In this case it appears the passenger had a drink one too many.
The simple fact is that most airlines nowdays use "inflight service" as the differentiator to get customers
@brit - its perspective and hence the difference of opinion. But seriously don't single out this incident and blame the guy. Ofcourse he should be punished. but alcohol shouldn't be served in flights. how many incidents in flights due to alcohol intoxication
mrahiman: Surely the onus is on the guy to control himself..
Secondly, I didn't realise that the air hostess uniform was immodest
SOlve the root cause. Don't serve alcohol in flights. And one more thing that let the flight staffs wear modest dressing.
This is a good sentence - he will learn from this
