Sticker Plate Number (how to get)

Hi all. I have hyundai veloster 2019 and wanted to get the small sticker plate number that they stick on the front bumper. Usually seeing it on Lexus SUV and sports cars.

But when i tried applying at traffic dept at industrial area they said it's not allowed. Only for "SPORTS CARS". But I saw the same exact car of mine that has it. I think the owner is local that's why he has it?

Anyway, anyone can recommend me or anybody know somebody inside on how to get it? Much appreciated your help. Thanks

Hi,

was looking for the same information and was not able to find it online. Today I tried my luck and went there, spent some hours running around but got it sorted. What you will need to do is contact the Hyundai dealership, they need to prepare you a letter in Arabic to request this (apparently very common) as Audi in my case was very familiar with it.

Take this letter to number plate workshop in the industrial area. They will do more paperwork there including a stamp and signature from the police captain there.

I was advised to remove the front plate and the mounting bracket prior to arriving there, because if you have a bracket they will want to put a regular plate there.

Sticker costs 130 QAR, compared to 100 QAR for a new regular plate. For the sticker this is cash, as it is provided by a third party vendor on site,

You will also need to hand in the front plate before they issue the new (sticker) one. Go there early in the morning, they open up at 6am and the place is empty, later it will be busy and you will be waiting around.

Hope this helped
