Honda Pilot or Nissan Pathfinder 2016

I am looking for a family car which will be used mainly for city drive and occasional desert off-roading. I prefer Honda Pilot or Nissan Pathfinder 2016. Which is the best in terms of drive, comfort, and maintenance. Is these vehicles capable of dune bashing and drive to Inland sea. Requesting those who use these cars to share their experience.
