Ford Explorer - is it a safe buy??

I'm new to Qatar and I'm considering buying a 2013 Ford Explorer from a used car dealership in Salwa Rd. Is Ford Explorer a safe buy in Qatar ito maintenance, reliability and resale? Any advice / tips from experienced used car buyers would be appreciated. Thank you.
