Car Leasing

Hi Guys

I'm moving to Qatar this year in June. Among other things and questions that neeed to be answered the car leasing topic is one with high priority. I will need two cars, one for me and one for my wife. My car should be desert-capable and my wife should be able to drive children to school, buy food, etc.
The idea is for me to buy a Toyota Tundra and for her a Porche Cayenne.
What leasing rates are to be expected ? I am very grateful for any advice or hint.

Cheers & Thanks

Yes, Toyota is no doubt the market leader. And I guess you will be able to find several models and types to suit your requirements. Just write to the Toyota agents in Doha to email to you their catalog on the type of vehicles you desire and you can select. The agent for Toyota in Qatar is Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros. Once you have made the selection, you can talk to them on leasing the vehicles. I believe the agents don't lease vehicles. You may then talk to rent-a-car companies.

Other than Toyota, Nissan and Honda also have a good share of the market. You can check with their agents also.

Thx a lot mate !

Which car brands/models would you recommend ?

As I said we need a desert SUV and a city SUV.

As far as i am informed are Toyotas good thing to go, but there are surely others who are good as well.

The cars you have mentioned will usually not be available with most rent-a-car companies, That's because they are not much in demand. However, you may find some companies which may get one for you and lease it out on special terms. The terms will need to be hammered out between the two parties. You can begin by writing to some rent-a-car companies such as Avis, Budget, Al Muftah, Hertz Almana, Mannai Corporation etc. That should give you a head start before you land here.
