Car Insurance Claim - Agent Repair, Towing, Replacement Car

Process of handling accident is painful in Qatar.

But knowing few facts can make the process little more easy.

1. After accident go to police finish the police report

2. How to get agent repair if using third party insurance?

Ans: If it is other party mistake, police will ask you to go to 3rd party insurance company. Now the problem is 3rd party insurance will not give you agent repair (your car vendor workshop). He will push you to go to their preferred workshop.

Solution is if you have Full Insurance with agent repair, go to your insurance company and they will arrange the claim from 3rd party insurance company. Usually they will ask you to go to 3rd party, but you insist them to claim from 3rd party.

2. Towing service: You are eligible for free Towing service from your insurance company. Even if you can drive your car, you don't want to go all the way to Industrial area, you can use this service to drop your car to workshop.

3. Replacement Car: If workshop cannot finish the work in 14 days, you ask them for replacement car. Usually you have to send few emails to get it approved.

4. Usually for first two weeks (14 days) you will get replacement car from your insurance company. After that workshop should provide it.
