car accident, police came but didn't file the report

Hi guys,

I had a car accident on Friday afternoon. The police came and said I would receive SMS after 2-3 hours and then I could go to insurance company. Until now sunday 11 am, I haven't received any SMS. I called the police department, they said it is not filed in the system. I could either go the police station again with the other party or wait.

Has this happened to anyone?

Hi thank you for your reply.

I contacted the other party who hit my car. He said he just came back from the traffic department and the receptionist told him that the policeman hadn't put in the system, wait for 2 days. I asked if both of us required to be there to file the report. He said no need.

Suggest, you go to the police station immediately with the other party. You can then get a Police Report which can help you with the insurance.
