Kahramaa Deposit Refund
I went to Kahramaa with my water and electricity meter readings in mid December 2015 to get the final bill and get any balance of the initial QAR 2000 deposit back as I was moving house. They took the details and said that they had to do a meter readings themselves and would finalise the bill thereafter and return any blance from the deposit. I had paid every bill in full each month till the end of my lease and therefore expected to get the full QAR 2000 back. However when I went a week later I was told that I had overpaid by QAR8 and therefore had to get a letter from the bank confirming my account details for a direct refund to the bank. I got this and gave it to Kahramaa. A month later I went back as I had not got the money back yet and was told to wait as it was being processed. Another month later (more than 2 months after I moved) I went back to Kahramaa again as I had not receved the QAR2008 they had to refund me and was told that the money would be returned to my account that day. Needless to say the money did not get credited to my account. It is a lot of money and I am trying to find out what I can do to get this back. Any advise would be really appreciated.
I am also Facing the same issue, even after all payments done 2000 deposit not returned back even after 45 days.
WT: Sadly, it is probably all too common
This is absolutely disgusting.
Go to consumer protection and also report it to Kharamaa senior management
I am looking for a suggesion of somewhere like a Consumer Protection Agency (or some such) to go with thiis. Is there such a place?
Why they want to transfer to your bank a/c? Normally they refund it by cheque, which they did it for me during last month.
