Angelinaballerina I really find your comment rather offensive!!

I am a westerner and I DO NOT have a maid. I live in quite a large villa and do it all myself as well as looking after 2 small children and 2 pups. We are NOT all the same so please do not tar us all with the same brush!!!

Once again...Thank you all for your support...I understand the miscommunication made earlier from my post...

We really are just trying to find her quickly so we can move on...We appreciate any thoughts..comments...or ideas as to what we can do to get a new housekeeper quickly...

Thanks again.

no filipina will runaway if they are threated nicely...dont you know that maybe some of your filipina housekeeper is more educated than you are...posting in here that your filipina housekeeper runaway is one act of being uneducated...maybe you are but you dont have a good mind..better consult a psychologist before you post....bbzzzztrrr......dddddd!....peace!!!!!!

she's gone looking for better money. Try on ExpatWoman Qatar website.....full of lazy western expat women who pay a fortune for someone else to do their dirty work while they sit around drinking coffee and boring people about what their brats were doing at school, whilst never lifting a finger themselves......

The readers did get a different idea with your main post. You could have stated everything so that people could give their 2-cents comments about it....

Be clear, be specific...

we understand your concern now that you explain the reason. But you can't blame others here of what they comment. My suggestion to you now is to just report her to the Phil. Embassy, Phil.Labor Office or to the agency where you hired her. We couldn't deny such things happen and to make this story short do what is needed as her employer.

I mention before that mostly housekeeper runaway because of bad treatment but not in all cases, you should give notice in newspaper as if something happen to her than you will in trouble as authorties will ask you that why you didnt complain before so avoid any future problem and go and complain in Capital police......

your justifications seem valid.. it would have saved us all those "illiterate" comments if you explained it well-enough in the main post.

Its a big responsibility if you take a maid as you are legally responsible for her behavior so if she is out there doing something wrong your husband or whoever sponsored her can go to jail. So you must keep track of your maid. Plus its better the sponsor finds her than the police she will be put in a holding cell and deported.

walaakhm did not wrote that she was a slave. He called her his "housekeeper" and take into consideration, the woman left the house in order and DID NOT STEAL ANYTHING. So, it's either that she is indeed looking for a much better paying job, or she has some problems that she didn't tell her employer (walaakhm).

And whoever knows this woman, maybe they could help coordinate with the employer coz anything that may happen to the woman would be walaakhm's responsibility.

Mandi...Thank u for u're support.

My housekeeper left in search of a better job (not as a housekeeper)...she left the house in immaculate condition, and didn't steal or damage anything.

I need to find her because I only get one visa, and I need to find someone asap to take care of my children while we are at work. I have to exert all effort to find her and either transfer her sponsorship or send her home. She has been reported to the authorities, who recommended putting her pic in the paper to warn those who might hire her (even if they don’t know that she’s a runaway) that they will be fined QR.20,000.

For those who are unaware, if she was mistreated she would have gone to her embassy or to the cops, and would have been found by now. Her picture is posted because she can be working illegally under a different name.

Please don't waste your time posting illiterate and unnecessary comments...

We all dont know the reall situation but dear, mostly housekeeper runaway becasue of bad treatment and regarding the your case so dear, just go to capital police and make a complaint there and kindly, remove the picture as she is also a human and we respect this, just go and put a complaint and apply for a new maid and try to treat with your servants like your family members....

it's still his/her responsibility

I'm not so sure, guys, so I'm going to be a little contrary here. She's not his slave, but she is his responsibility. He does need to find her so that he can send her home, cancel her visa and apply for another maid. She may not understand the ramifications of her actions. Maybe she thinks that she can just disappear if she has another job offer. I don't really see the difference between a "missing persons" poster and this picture. He may well be genuinely concerned about her.

Your slave ran away?

Looks like the "punishments" you gave did not scare her!!!

Next time, dont forget to chain her to the wall.

she is not your slave Mr.

she is a human with a mind to do what she wishes... you would have done something wrong to her.

you have no right to put up a post with her picture.! if she has done wrong, cops will handle it.
