Neat, clean, wide and green

What do I miss about home....definetly the scenery. Canada was neat, green, wide and green. UK is great too. Even in the summer baby can play in doors and outdoors. Here...can't go to a lush green park at all!! Depressing when you are not well enough to be mobile! Very epressing here..there's only so much 'hanging around the mall' you can do!

Hello Manoaila

I know exactly what you feel. After being here on my 2nd week I burst out crying. I was alone most of the time until I have met a friend from the lobby. We went out at the mall having coffee now and then. Then I have discovered this site from one of the expat I met at the mall.

Now I am on my 3rd week almost 4 weeks I tried to drive around. It helps a lot. I was really scared in the beginning as people keep on cutting me off and pushing me out of the way. Two lanes becomes 3 or 4 lanes but I guess I have to accept it.

My suggestion is to start networking real friends. Be selective, but without them is impossible to survive in this place. Consumption of alcohol is a big trend in Qatar, but real friends always will get you by. I personally will start fishing.
