Thanks all for your answers! Actually this website is helping me a lot. I just arrived here 4 days ago and still working to figure out everything. Still struggling to get a driver's licence.. As for organic food, I was in Egypt before I came to Doha, and it was so easy to get organic food, especially meat, chicken, eggs and milk. They are found in all big super markets, and also you can get them easily from people who own small farms, they home deliver, but it seems here it's different since everything is imported because the country's harsh weather doesn't help with agriculture.
Organic vegetables & fruits you can order from a company called "The Green Box" who will deliver to your home. You can choose between Lebanese and Qatari produce. Organic eggs you can get pretty much anywhere. Lulu, Carrefour and Megamart each have a small selection of organic fruit & veg.. and dry goods like pasta. But organic meat & chicken... I haven't seen anywhere. I have heard that you can sometimes get organic frozen chicken mince etc. at Spinneys and Megamart but whenever I have looked it has been out of stock. Good luck :)
It is almost impossible, and I would not trust any label here saying that it is organic. I am sure every vendor would happily swear that everything he sells is organic.
D&D in Villagio sometimes have organic butcher meats, and since they often source them from Holland I am inclined to trust them. But even then, I would not stake my reputation on it (even if it is just a virtual one).
