EDIT: You cannot buy prescription medicines without a prescription. Pharmacies in Qatar may never give you prescription medicines if you do not have a prescription from a doctor.

MATE U CAN'T GET ANY MEDICINE WITH OUT PRESCRIPTION FROM THE PHARMACY ITS VERY STRICT RULES. EITHER U HAVE TO GO TO ANY PRIVATE PRACTITIONER DOC TO GET PRESCRIPTION OR TO ANY HEALTH CENTER

That's also my first opinion. But now i found that it's much cheaper if you to Hospital (like Hamad).
Doctor & Medicine cost will be in 'all in one cheap price' rather than you buy directly at pharmacy.
I try buying amoxicillin 500mg @ private pharmacy and they sell me 1 box of it without prescription. Then I also try buying Dermovate cream (for skin infection), but they ask for prescription. So, I think it depends to what medicine you will buy.
In Any Private pharmacy..but depends on ..what kind of medication u need...some medications need priscripstions..(antibiotics..steriods) some are OTC...means over the counter..but always ask pharmacist for advice..i won`t prefer self medication..
