where can i find vaccine for chicken pox?
we are living in a villa and i have a cousin who have infected the virus of chicken pox, he is now 6days infected. what can i do to prevent this? i did not have before when i was young. iam afraid i will get infected because we live in the same room...they say that after all came out it will be most likely to transfer to person living with them...if we will not get close to him.. he will feel left alone and lose his self esteem especially of his looks...help!!!..if you know that there is vaccine for this virus...can you tell me...please....thanks....
as u r already been exposed to the virus, time will tell. There are vacination for Chickenpox but for adults i m not sure.if you have any child then have them vacinated in their earliy days.
@ Soniya..Chickenpox vacination in India is optional and you should request for it to get vaccinated. To be frank I m also not vacinated for chickenpox!!!.. As per few sugessions this vacination needs to be taken when you are a child. once you are adult there is no use..Not sure about this..may b someone can clarify

Since you are an adult, rush to any PRIMARY HEALTH CENTRES or HAMAD or any private clinics to ask for the details..
If he's already had it for 6 days, then you have already been exposed. You will either get the chicken pox yourself in about another week or may get lucky and not get it at all. Only time will tell. I had my child vaccinated for it here in Qatar, but at my insistance they had to order it and ship it in for me---took about 6 months. This was a couple of years ago now, however, so many they keep it in stock now. Dial 180 (directory assistance) and ask for the number for Abu Hamour vaccination center. Call them and ask them if you can get the innoculation.
