What are the consequences of an xray result with TB?

I had my medical exam last week and I was told that they will send an SMS to me in case of any abnormal result, but I didnt receive any, but this morning my husbands company informed us that I have to retake my xray. Before I went here, I had a xray done and it was normal. Will an xray with PTB be a grond for deportation? thanks

If children have a TB skin test that is positive or false positive and their x-rays are absolutely clear......does it mean that they(officals) will refuse entry and if not will it cause problems for them to get admission in the american or DESS school????? Please shed some light!

well, nice to see a lot of comments on this topic, let me tell you something,There can be artifacts in the xray(rare and unlikely with the kind of machines they have now)There could be also other pathologies related to the lungs like pneumonia, TB, or any other pathology. If its a Tb then they would also do a Sputum test along with blood test. In some cases, they would prescribe antibiotics and recall again after 2 to 3 weeks for a repeat chest Xray. So dont come to any conclussions unless they come to a diagnosis.

I hope you're applying for family visa (e.g. you are husband sponsor) because if you do they won't send you home, rather you will undergo six months of medication. This country is so considerate in so many ways,in your case, they wouldn't want to separate couples for this reason alone.

Undergoing meds might mean your having to go to the health center 2 or 3 times a week or even everyday depending on the severity of your TB.Treatment is free.A lot of cases occured whereby they tested negative in their home country but turned out positive here, or vice versa. There detection machines here are world class and top of the line.

In the long run, however this might be troubling to you,it's a blessing they detected if you do have the illness and thus will undergo treatment. It's a serious disease that can be transmitted to your husband or children.

Minimal illness does not lead to deportation, HIV, AIDS and TB are the ones for deportation.

It just may be an error in the Xray :)

I've heard of more people who had to go back and take a second x-ray... simply because the image of the first one wasn't clear enough (probably they moved a bit when it was taken).

They also freaked out! Don't worry, maybe that's your case too...

Maybe you need to prepare yourself whatever the result is

I do know people who have went through the Xray and scars in the lungs were detected

The RP was not processed and he had to go back home

Basically to work here you must be healthy and no illnesses. Having such minimal illness will lead to deportation, that's one of the basic requirements here!!!Hope it would help you, and just ask God for healing.

Just becuase you have to retake the xray doesn';t necessarily mean anything's wrong. If u have TB, and that will show up on your xray, then you will get deported. If everything was ok when you had an xray back home then things may well be ok.
