Waiting List to join Clubs

I have just received my offer of employment and am mulling it over, due in large part to the housing that will be provided. ( The housing allowance is very low and so would be taking the company provided accomodation)

We have a pool and gym where we live now and am told that will not have these amenities in my accomodation in Doha, although will be getting a furnished 3 bedroom apartment in central Doha and that would have to join a club in order to use a pool and gym. My understanding is that a great many of these clubs have waiting lists and so my question is this:

Is this a widespread problem in Doha and for those of you on waiting lists, how long have you been waiting and when do you anticipate actually becoming a member?

( I am already aware that there is 120 person list to join the Doha golf club and that there is a list as well for the Ramada Cabana Club as I enquired about those 2 when I came for my interview)

Anyone know of clubs that dont have a waiting list to get in that have both a pool and a gym?
