Medical X-ray - was asked to come for 2nd one?! PLEASE ADVISE
Hi All
I have a question with regard to medical x-ray. I had an x-ray a couple of weeks ago and then I got a text on my mobile asking to contact the x-ray department. Basically they called me to get a re-test.
When I had my re-test last Wednesday I asked them if there was a problem and they simply said no no problem. Now I am awaiting my result which I have been told takes 3 working days.
This has started to concern me a little now and I just wanted to know from anyones experience if there is anything I need to worry about.
In terms of health I am happy to say I have never had an issue in the past so am a little concerned.
Thanks in Advance.

Sorry for that typo error. Please read it as TB and not TV.
I wish you the best of health and success in your second X-Ray test at the Medical Commission.
Here are some basic facts you need to know:
The Medical Commission will seek a second test only if you have failed the first one for whatever reason, such as a spot in your chest or if the X-Ray is unclear for whatever reasons. If you were called merely because of an unclear X-Ray, you can relax and make sure you dont move much the next time they take one. And follow the X-Ray technician's advise closely.
If some spots were detected in your X-Ray, it is a matter of grave concern. These spots can indicate you have or may have had TV or pneumonia or other lung and respiratory disease.
Should the second X-Ray confirm these spots or anomalies in your chest, you will be called for a third and final X-Ray. And if you fail that, you will either be referred to the TB Clinic at the Rumaillah Hospital complex.
At the TB Clinic, you will undergo a series of tests to determine the cause of these anomalies and risks of infecting other people around you, such as friends, family and co-workers.
If you are assessed as non-risky, which means your medical condition is not contagious, you will be offered free treatment at the clinic, as an outpatient. This can be inconvenient since you'll be required to visit the clinic daily for your dose of prescribed medicines.
If you are found risky to others, meaning you can spread disease like TB or pneumonia etc, your sponsor will be asked to repatriate you at the earliest.
Once again, I wish you the best of health. But please remember, several disease remain undetected because their symptoms are invisible. Even if you are detected as a carrier of a contagious disease, consider it as an opportunity to get your disease treated.
Jobs can be found anywhere. Good health is precious and cant be replaced.
