medical attention in doha urgent please?
could someone please advise me the best place to seek medical attention in doha? the problem at hand is a persistent cough that will not go away for weeks. my friend has coughed till his hearing is affected and is completely clogged up. numerous syrups and medications dont seem to be doing the trick. anyone has an idea of the best hospital to take thorough tests and get proper medical care?

there are so many reasons why we have persistent cough. cough that doesnt go away for weeks might be a symptom of having asthma. you can have chest x-ray to start with. cough syrup will only aggravate the situation. besides, false medication is not good for anyone. seek professional help at the earliest.
It is always challenging to find a good hospitals...unfortunately, cough diseases do not have a one shot cure i believe..your friend should focus on prevention instead of cure where possible..by exercise...quality food..clear air and all..
However, you may find Al-Shefa hospital worth a visit..

íf it's urgent go to HMC emergency dept. you'll get really good treatment, and be sure that you will be tested for any really dangerous condition and treated if needed. Only been twice but each time the response was excellent.

Just want to share. I was also suffering from the same problem in Dec 08. Consulted so many specialists. Then went back to my home country. When i consulted specialist their, he conducted lungs test and I was found to be patient of esthima. So just don't worry ask for the test of lungs and you will be perfectly alright.

Your friend should probably see an ear, nose and throat specialist.
I suffered these same symptoms and did not get relief until I saw Dr. Mahmoud Osman at the Doha Clinic Hospital. He prescribed an antibiotic and nasal spray along with pain medication....but I was in bad shape. Hopefully your friend is not feeling as bad as I was.
