I know that too low/high levels of iron in the blood can cause hairloss. So maybe tap water and purified water are not well balanced.
It'd be weird that the simple contact of tap water on the scalp causes hairloss. If it was the case, it had to contain lots of bad stuff and could not even be considered as drinking water... it's probably more an issue related to what is ingested and goes through our body.
there are two products available in the market which may help you one a vitamin called Permia plus , the other one is called Regaineyou can get more information from a Pharmacist
Zee, i think you are missing the point. Shampoo or drugs is probably not the solution. People are having this problem here. if you do find a solution or if the shampoo does not work please follow up in this thread.
Instead of it being the Qatar Water Supply making people have kidney failure, cancer, or falling hair.
How about the actual different water storage containers that sit out side?
As you know, people and companies try to cut corners for everything here and many people don't put into consideration into what is safe to give to people. The chemicals made to produce these plastic containers might seep into the water from the intense heat.
There are several manufactures and maybe the production of these containers or plastic chemicals are not consistent.
I would love to conduct test on various containers.
If anyone has money to donate I would be more than happy to organize the whole thing. I'm basically broke. I think this research needs to be carried out.
Ziad, that's crap and you know it. Show me scientific proof then I'll believe you.
There is absolutely nothing in the water to cause hair loss, and blaming the weather, come on. Next you'll be saying that global warming is to blame for long fingernails.
Yes, I agree stress can be a cause. I pull my hair out every day behind the wheel!
Do like I do - get a really short cut and nobody really notices
Its the water we use to shower! instead try using the mineral water for drinking in washing your hair only for sure in two days tops no more falling hair! if there are still any left?
Yes I have heard other discussions on this. Its about Qatar, possibly the water.

My friend is loosing a lot of hair and she is also not happy here in Qatar about many things, she wants to leave but feels that she does not have enough money saved.
What good is money if you are not happy or if this country is going to kill you?! Either with lung problems from the dust, car accident, cancer from being exposed to unknown substances here as you work. Kidney or liver failure from ingesting contamination. The list goes on and on...
1.) Using a shampoo that is too harsh for your scalp.
2.) Stress. It has been scientifically proven that the more stressful you become, the more hair falls off.
3.) Using hot water during bath, or dryers damage hair to the extent of hair fall
4.) Genetics.Baldness can be passed on from generation to generation
Suggest you use the shampoo : MAne and Tail. YES! It can be used by homo sapiens and most people say it thickens hair strands, too. I had used it before. It's available in most supermarkets. But if you're not comfortable with it, just consult the doctor.

I think most people (including me) believe it's the tap water, bathing in it and/or drinking it.
