HEALTH TEST!
Dear QL members.
Could someone run me through the health test when you land in Qatar, and what they are looking for?
Also would anyone know if i should bring prescription drugs in the country i.e blood pressure tablets and asthma inhalers? if not can i get it there.

not certain about bp tablets, but inhalers like ventolin are, as suggested, around Qr50. Budesonide, Seretide and the like are around Qr300, and only certain doses available. All otc, but realllly expensive. I bring a years worth in on my annual trip, no problems.
You can definitly buy Inhalers over the counter at the pharmacies they are about 50QR Each Not sure about the blood pressure tablets but most drugs are available here with out perscription,

Dont think that they will do a health check at airport , but for work visa you have to under go a blood test & Xray!
Here you get good pharmacies but , better to know the genetic names of the drugs.

When u came here the following medical examination would be done in the Medical commission.
HIV / HBs AG (Heptitis B) and Chest X'ray.
Well you can bring the medicine can be brought with doctor's letter…..no narcotic drugs are allowed.
