My husband got very strong pain last night, i took him to the hospital and they said 95% it is the gall bladder. After Ultrasound they were quite sure of the same. Now pain is becoming more and more strong and i think they will admit him for operation to remove it.

Any one has any idea about the surgeory?
We are planning to do it in Doha Clinic?? what do you think?
Is there a good doctor there for these kinds of operations.

They said it wont be an open surgeory, just laparoscopic gall bladdar!!!!!!!!!

Please give me your openion.

My mother just a few days ago had a similar operation emergency at Doha Clinic - very happy with the doctors there, and the after care was great. Thank god, everything went smoothly there...and the doctors were great.. Best of luck for your husband

I had my gall bladder removed 4 months ago at AlEmadi hospital. The operation was no problem and the pain dissappeared straight the way. Your husband will end up with 3 small scars on his abdomen,

Recovery is very quick although it took me longer as I had a pancreatitis caused by a stone that had entered the bile duct,

You should be able to go back to a normal diet afterwards although I found that I cant eat very much red meat without getting stomach pains, Otherwise everthing is fine

I sympathise with your husband as i know how very painful gall bladder problems are,

Do not try the homeopathic route it can make it worse and if a stone moves like mine did you will be in for a whole load more pain and complications

It's a very straightforward operation, any competent general surgeon can. do. Complications are rare and compared to the risks of sepsis if not done, worth doing. It's routine, don't worry, he will feel so much better after surgery and will be able to live normally.

When the risk of serious illness by sepsis is high, better not to try homeopathy in this case, in my opinion.

I will just share my knowledge about this:

Your husband might have the gallstones(Cholelithiasis), we just hope that the stones are just in his gallbaldder and not in the tubes.Lap cholecystectomy might be the operation which will just take an hour or more than an hour. They will make a 4 holes, sometimes its 3 in his abdomen which these small holes are the portal of entry of the tubes to be use in the operation, they will use the fiberoptic surgery( the use of camera and the monitor)to view any hallow organs or tissues. and they will use clippers also, and the rest will be fine.

when the operation is done then just be careful of the complications that might come in.. if he feels pain after the operation it might be cause by the carbon dioxide inserted in his abdomen, nothing to worry because it will go by itself to consider also the surgical sites which can be controlled by medicines....but be assured that your doctors will monitor your husband..better to bring him to a hospital which you can have doctors to see him 2 times in a day, which i think you cannot find in the government hospitals here....

ignore the statement below...

(The worst I have seen is the walk-in clinic of Hamad Hospital for bachelors..and other hospitals which only cater family.. where in the hell can you find these kinds of treatment? only for emergency...gosh..only here in Qatar..really the worst of all the health care institutions are here, they really are rich with the technologies they have but they are not rich of the minds on how to use, or to impart those they have..they are selfish..)why they created such hospitals if dont cater sick people..?? really a big question in my mind..)

just pray...fast recovery for him.
