why do people assume that a particular magic product can help them lose weight. Millions have been made by people peddling claims to magic products to achieve weight loss. The sad fact is that if you are fat in most cases you are eating more calories than you expend in exercise.

It really is that simple. Reduce your calorie intake and increase your activity and amazingly the weight will drop off. Try Irish dancing and it will disappear at an unbelieveable rate!

Here is a simple remedy. Look at what you are eating, look at how much exercise/activity you are doing daily. Start day 1 and resolve to limit the amount you eat and increase the amount of calories you expend. Most people fail in this because of unrealistic goals, I'll only eat 500 cals or I'll walk 2 kms a day, which they cannot sustain indefinitely.

Recognising this do the following:

when you are hungry eat food which is not easy to gulp down, breakfast cereals, tomatoes, celery etc. require a lot of chewing and accordingly you feel full even though you have not ingested a huge calorie count as you would from a fried breakfast!

Just do a little more physical exercise, get out of the car and go into the shop rather than honking the horn for some poor little guy to come out.

Above all, keep a record, nothing succeeds like success, if you try in any way to limit your food intake you will get an initial rapid weight loss. If you can continue to log this you will see a big initial loss followed by a small gradual weight loss. If you can graph this the trend is obvious and the fact that you can gain a pound or two some days is less significant that the fact that the trend is down overall. You can even indulge in a huge treat on a weekly basis without affecting the trend towards loss significantly.

All the fancy diets etc. are money making rackets designed to make people feel dependent on their formula and making people who fail feel guilty.

Don't feel guilty, we are programmed by nature to eat when food is available. This is inappropriate when shelves full of food are available without us having to reap or kill it. Eat, but be a little careful what you eat and you will be ok. Do not despair, we have lived successfully on Earth, fat or slim, for millions of years and the resources to cope with this are built into our brains, just use them.

There's slim tea at Lulu Hyper. It has a laxative effect.

I think that the best tea is the WHITE one, I do not know if it reduces the weight, but it has several benefits, and its taste is good also.

If you are serious about losing weight, here is what you should do:

1. Eat less junk/fast food (maybe only once a week as a treat only)

2. Cut out all sugar in drinks and food

3. Do light to mendium exercise 30 mins a day (ideally in the morning whan your metabolism is high so you burn more calories)

4. Drink plenty of loose green tea (not Lipton). There is a good tea shop in Hyatt Plaza Mall (opp Comm Bank branch).

Good luck.

Green tea is a very effective natural antioxidant.Yes it does help in reducing weight, but it has to be sugar free. You can add a bit of honey for flavor. Drink a cup or two after every meal.It is especially effective in removing antioxidants from skin. Try four cups a day of unsweetened green tee, add 1-2 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice( not the bottled one- fresh from lemon). Notice the texture of your skin now and then after 2 months. You will feel the difference.

Unfortunately it's not available in Qatar & I bought it from a chinese vendor in Ibnu Bathutha mall UAE which cost me DHS 150 for a 100gms ack
