Can hepatitis B Ag. effect IT engineers for getting work visa for Qatar
By guy_farhan •
I have an offer from DIA as a team lead technical. I have Hepatitis antigen active.
I know hepatitis and other test are necessary for the Qatar. But I want to ask whether it can effect me also ( Information technology field/ Networking field). Is it not only specific for food and nursing professionals only ?
Will this problem effect me in getting over there ?
Kindly help me out.

Hi, I am having the similar situation. I would like to know what was the result? did you get your residence permit? please let me know because I am bit worried.
They only check Hep B if your job falls under the category of Food & Health.
Go ahead accept the Job.
WE have the same case.
Hope this helps.
Dear I am sorry to say but this is reality and you have to accept it.
in Qatar they are checking three main disease.
HIV
Hepatitis whether it is B or C
TB
These tests are applicable for all expatriate who are coming to Doha on residence visa.
It will be impossible to process your resident permit once it is diagnosed
Not only engineers, but for all applicants......
I think Hep-B is not checked for medical tests for Residence Permit and might not be a problem for work visa but if you get sick and any of the blood tests shows the traces of Hep-B then you will be in trouble.
Hepatitis B is considered as a serious issue and it will be difficult to pass the medical test if anybody having it.
Ideally i should not effect your medical report but to be on safe said consult doctor and get the treatment started.
